At Federal Polytechnic Bali, tuition fees are structured to be affordable while supporting quality education. Fees are collected per semester for full-time programmes and cover tuition, facility use, student welfare contributions, and academic resources.

All payments are made through the institution's official payment gateway or bank platforms. No payment should be made directly to individuals or unofficial accounts. Receipts must be obtained and kept safely for verification.

SIWES Clearance Fee

Paid at the end of SIWES to obtain clearance from the SIWES office before returning to academic work.

Late Registration Surcharge

Applied when a student registers for courses after the official registration deadline each semester.

Transcript / Statement of Result

Processing fee for official academic transcripts or statements of result requested by students.

Graduation Clearance

Processed in the final semester. Covers departmental and institutional clearance before certificate award.

Carry-Over / Resit Exam Fee

For students who failed a course and are resitting the examination in a subsequent semester.

Students who lose or damage their ID card must pay a replacement fee before a new card is issued.

Federal Government Polytechnic Bursary

The Federal Government of Nigeria awards an annual bursary to full-time students in Federal Polytechnics. Eligible students must apply through the Student Affairs office each academic session.

  • Open to all registered full-time ND and HND students
  • Amount varies yearly (typically ₦20,000–₦30,000 annually)
  • Requires student bank account in student's name
  • Apply via Student Affairs at the start of each session

Taraba State Government Scholarship

The Taraba State Scholarship Board awards scholarships to indigenes of Taraba State studying at accredited institutions including Federal Polytechnic Bali.

  • Must be a Taraba State indigene with LGA identification
  • Minimum academic performance required (credit level)
  • Apply at the Taraba State Scholarship Board office
  • Annual award — new application required each year

ITF SIWES Stipend

The Industrial Training Fund pays a monthly stipend to all eligible students during their SIWES industrial attachment. Registration on the ITF portal is mandatory for this benefit.

  • Available to all registered SIWES students
  • Paid monthly directly by ITF to student accounts
  • Requires ITF online registration with bank details
  • Contact ITF directly for stipend-related enquiries

Departmental Merit Award

The CS Department occasionally recognises outstanding academic performers with merit awards — including fee waivers, certificates of excellence, and resource gifts.

  • Awarded to the top student in ND and HND each session
  • Based purely on academic performance (CGPA)
  • No application required — automatic nomination by results
  • Announced at the departmental end-of-session ceremony
FAQs

Fees & Payment Questions

Can I pay my fees in instalments?
Instalment payment arrangements are not officially built into the standard fee structure. However, students facing genuine financial hardship may apply to the Bursary office or the Dean of Students Affairs for a deferred payment plan. This is handled on a case-by-case basis and requires supporting documentation.
What happens if I overpay by mistake?
If you have overpaid, visit the Bursary Department with your payment receipt and a written application for a refund or credit to the following semester's fees. Overpayments are typically credited to your next semester account rather than refunded in cash, unless the Bursary office decides otherwise.
Are fees refundable if I withdraw from the programme?
Fees already paid are generally non-refundable after the commencement of the academic semester. However, students who withdraw before the semester begins may apply for a partial refund, excluding the acceptance fee and administrative charges. Contact the Bursary office for the full refund policy.
Is the acceptance fee the same for ND and HND students?
The acceptance fee applies to all fresh entrants — both ND fresh students and HND students joining from other institutions. Students who completed their ND at Federal Polytechnic Bali and are continuing to HND do not pay the acceptance fee again, but must still complete departmental re-registration.
Do part-time or evening students pay different fees?
Currently, the CS Department at Federal Polytechnic Bali runs full-time ND and HND programmes only. Certificate courses run in the evenings and weekends but have their own separate, one-time fee structure as outlined above. Contact the department for any special arrangements.
